2017 BAR EXAM Results: 25.55% Passing Rate, Topnotcher Gets 91.05%

Of the 6,748 who took the 2017 Bar Exam. only 25.5% passed, or 1,724 examinees, according to sources within the Supreme Court. The full results of the 2017 Bar Exam is set to be released today at exactly 1:15 PM.

For the release of the bar exam results, the Supreme Court held a special en banc session at 10:00 AM today. This was done to determine the passing rate of the bar this year and to decide whether that rate should be increased to allow more to pass.

According to news reports, a total of 7,227 were admitted to the 2017 Bar Exam. Of this, 11 candidates dropped out while 468 were absent during the exam which was conducted during the four Sundays of November 2017 (5, 12, 19 and 26) last year. Only 6,748 completed the exam.

Aside from the list of passers this year, eagerly awaited is the list of topnotchers for 2017 and the law schools where they came from. According to inside sources, the topnotcher received a score of 91.05%.
