Bagyong Lannie (Typhoon Talim) Joins #MaringPH Inside PAR; No Landfall Seen

A stronger cyclone is inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) together with Bagyong Maring. Typhoon Lannie (aka ‘Talim’), is now inside PAR east of Northern Luzon. Although stronger than #MaringPH, Bagyong Lannie has no effect on the country as of yet.

According to PAGASA, Bagyong Lannie is not expected to make landfall in the Philippines. The cyclone is forecast to move west northwest in the general direction of Taiwan and is predicted to exit PAR by Thursday, September 14.

The bad weather we are currently experiencing is solely because of Bagyong Maring which is forecast to make landfall in Aurora sometime Tuesday after which it is expected to cross Luzon towards Pangasinan.

The latest weather bulletin on Bagyong Lannie: 1,370 km East of Aparri, Cagayan with maximum sustained winds of up to 120 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 145 kph.
