BAGYONG RAMIL Update: Topical Depression #RamilPH Ruins All Saints Day

It will be a wet All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day for many Filipinos after the low pressure area (LPA) near Masbate intensified into Tropical Depression #RamilPH overnight. In some areas, it will even be stormy. Bagyong Ramil is forecast to move through southern Luzon and Mimaropa today, Wednesday.

The LPA was already bringing occasional rainshowers to affected areas on Tuesday but overnight, this increased into moderate to heavy rainfall as the low pressure area intensified.

According to the latest update of Bagyong Ramil from PAGASA, Northern Palawan including Calamian Group of Islands, Aklan and Antique are now under SIGNAL #1. Rainfall in these affected areas will be moderate to heavy, and residents should be alert for flash floods and landslides.

Residents in Metro Manila, Bicol, Calabarzon and Mimaropa are likewise warned of possible flash floods and landslides.

Bagyong Ramil was at 115 km West of Roxas City, Capiz at 4:00 AM today. It had maximum sustained winds of 45 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph. Forecast Movement: Forecast to move West at 20 kph.
