The ‘ber’ Months are Here! Merry Christmas from the Philippines!

Today is September 1 and you know what that means. It’s the start of the ‘ber’ months (September, October, November and December). In the Philippines, that only means one thing: It’s the start of the Christmas season!

‘ber’ Months: Today is the start of the Christmas season in the Philippines.

Merry Christmas from the Philippines, where the holiday season begins once the ‘ber ‘ months set in, and ends way past new year! It may just be the longest celebration of Christmas in the world!

Jose Mari Chan is trending on Twitter. That’s because Chan’s Christmas songs are a favorite among Filipinos. They’ve already started playing his songs on the radio this morning. And it won’t be a surprise if you hear Jose Mari Chan’s Christmas in Our Hearts in the mall today.

Christmas decorations are already on sale. In fact, I saw them as early as the second week of August. Soon, neighborhoods will be twinkling with Christmas lights of assorted colors and configurations.

Have you bought your parol for this season? They’re still relatively cheap at this time. Expect the price to go up once the season goes into full swing.

And, of course be ready for the Christmas bazaars all over the metro soon.
