Plagiarism: BIR Logo for ‘Tunay Na Pagbabago’ Plagiarized from Tutorial Video?

Another case of plagiarism is hounding a government agency. Netizens are accusing the Bureau of Internal Revenue of plagiarism after  the logo for its ‘Tunay Na Pagbabago, Para Sa Bayan’ tax campaign appeared to be very similar to a a logo in a tutorial video of creatnprocess on YouTube.

The BIR came out with its tax campaign ‘Tunay Na  Pagbabago’ in February 2017 with a stylized ‘I’ in the Bureau of Internal Revenue acronym exactly the same as the logo created in the tutorial video posted by creatnprocess on YouTube. The logo design tutorial video was posted on September 9, 2014!

Earlier this year, the Department of Tourism was also accused of plagiarism, after its ad campaign appeared to be similar to a tourism campaign of South Africa in 2014.
