Body of Dead OFW Finally Arrives from Saudi But Internal Organs Missing

An OFW family’s grief turned into outrage after they discovered that their dead relatives internal organs are missing. OFW Brenda Laluan Manipon reportedly died of a brain tumor in Saudi Arabia but her family wants this investigated further.

According to GMA News, Brenda Laluan Manipon died of a brain tumor last May. And it is only this week that her body arrived in the Philippines. The family discovered her internal organ missing only after the body arrived in Pozzorubio, Pangasinan.

Manipon’s family said they wanted to check the cadaver at the airport upon its arrival but were prevented from doing so. they were told to check it in Pozzorubio instead.

“Masama ang loob namin kung bakit ganoon ang nangyari,” one relative told GMA News. “Dahil sa airport, ayaw naman nilang pabuksan. Sabi nila doon niyo na bubuksan pagdating niyo doon.”

Another thing they noticed were the bruises on Brenda’s body, leading them to cast doubt on the reported cause of her death.

“Gusto ko sana mabigyan ng hustisya,” said Brenda’s husband Lolito. “Pasa dito, madam. Ang dami.”

Meanwhile, according to the Pangasinan health office, it is common practice in other countries to remove the internal organs from a cadaver. As to the bruises on Brenda’s body, an autopsy will be done to determine her cause of death.
