In her Facebook post that has now gone viral, Bunny Cadag posted how she was hired for a three-day transcriber job at Jollibee head office and started on June 30. However, before her second day, she received a message from the contact person who hired her and was told that Jollibee is not yet ready for transgenders in their offices.

It was just short of saying that Bunny Cadag had been fired for being a transgender! To add insult to injury, she was told they would still hire her but this would be off-site.

Bunny Cadag said she was told of the following reasons:

She added that she sent a complaint letter to Jollibee about the discrimination but the reply sounded ‘automated’. Cagad said she likewise brought her grievance to the Commission on Human Rights but the agency didn’t have an investigator for her case.

Nakikiusap. Tao sa tao,” Bunny Cadag added.
