Cardona’s involvement in the alleged ‘carnapped’ SUV was unraveled after a certain sought the help of crusading journalist Raffy Tulfo. According to Flores, Mark Cardona knowingly duped her of P300,000 by pawning the hot car.

Michelle Flores told Raffy Tulfo that Cardona needed money to pay off some debts and approached her to pawn ‘his’ Subaru Forester SUV. They agreed on the deal and left the car, keys and OR/CR with Flores. But when she pointed out that the SUV was not in Cardona’s name, the former basketball player said he had a deed of sale which he would give her later.

The former DLSU Green Archer told Flores to register the cat with the LTO so that she could use it in as much as the car’s registration had already expired.

But to Flores’ dismay, she was told at the LTO last Friday that what she has was a hot car. Its owner notified authorities that a certain Mark Macapagal borrowed the car from him and never returned it.

With the help of Raffy Tulfo, Michelle Flores filed a complaint against Mark Cardona.
