Grab Driver Beaten Up & Strangled by Passenger After RETURNING Cellfone

Grab Philippines and one of its drivers will file charges against a passenger. This after the unnamed passenger strangled and beat up the Grab driver who returned the mobile phone the former left in the car.

According to Grab driver Armando Yabut, who has been driving for the TNVS company for the past two years, the passenger charged his iPhone on the car during the trip from Makati to Kamuning last February 9. And it was only when he got home in Taytay that he noticed that the passenger left his phone in the car.

The passenger called Yabut and asked if the driver can bring the left cellfone to Kamuning, to which Yabut agreed.

But when he arrived at the agreed meeting place, things took a different turn and the GRab driver was beaten up and strangled by the angry passenger, who accused him of trying to steal his iPhone.

Yabut said he immediately reported the left cellfone to Grab Philippines when he arrived home.

And the passenger even asked some of his neighbors to beat up the driver as well.

Police arrived at the scene and invited both men to the station. But the passenger declined and wanted to settle the case with Yabut instead. When the latter disagreed, the passenger got even angrier and accused the Grab driver of trying to steal his iPhone.

Charges were filed against the unnamed passenger on Monday.
