CONFIRMED Hashtag Franco Hernandez Dead After Drowning in Davao

Fans of Hashtag Franco Hernandez prayed that the news they received Saturday afternoon was not true, that it was fake news. But it wasn’t. Franco Hernandez is dead after drowning while on vacation in Davao Occidental. He was 21 years old.

Franco was said to be spending the long weekend at a resort in Davao Occidental together with his girlfriend, fellow Hashtag Tom Doromal and several others. The group was riding a motorized banca Saturday afternoon to the coast of North Lamidan, Don Marcelino when strong waves hit their boat. Franco and his girlfriend were thrown overboard by the impact.

They were recovered but Hernandez was already unconscious. He was immediately taken to a local clinic but was declared dead on arrival.

His management company, Cornerstone Entertainment confirmed the sad news via social media.

It is with deep sadness and grief that we accept the news of Franco Miguel Hernandez Lumanlan aka “Hashtag Franco’s” passing today. 
He was a very promising talent and a true star in every sense of the word. He was passionate, hardworking, humble and liked by all. He lived his life following his dreams and made every second count. 
Franco was not just our talent… He was part of our family. And our hearts break into a million pieces for such a young life gone too soon. 
We will surely miss him.
