FIRST LOOK at ‘Bagani’, the LizQuen TV Series to Replace La Luna Sangre

Fans of LizQuen are excited about ‘Bagani’, the new TV series of Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil. And this week, a teaser poster of ‘Bagani’ elevated their excitement even more after its director, Richard Arellano, tweeted the poster with the caption “ABANGAN! #Bagani SOON!”

It’s been a while since LizQuen had a TV series. Their last teleserye was the highly-successful Dolce Amore. But, this year, comes Bagani, a period fantasy teleserye where LizQuen will be joined by Matteo Guidicelli, Sofia Andres and Makisig Morales, among others.

Interviewed last year, Enrique Gil said Bagani is a the story of how the Philippines was born. There will also be superheroes in the story and, in fact, Enrique’s character is a superhero.

“Para siyang bayani. It’s the story about how the Philippines, ‘di ba archipelagic tayo, how the Philippines was born. It’s about our culture,” Enrique said. “[Superhero ako] at ang pangalan ko po doon ay si Lakas.

There is no official statement yet from ABS CBN when Bagani will premier but LizQuen fans are hoping it will be in the first quarter of 2018.

We expect it to be sometime in March or April. With La Luna Sangre ending around that time, according to a recent statement by Daniel Padilla, we expect ABS CBN will place Bagani in the slot to be vacated by the KathNiel series.
