Mocha Uson to Take Up Law in Arellano University to Prepare for Senate!

It looks like all systems go for Mocha Uson’s Senate run. Days after her name was included in the administration’s Senate ticket for 2019, Mocha announced that she will be taking up law next year!

“Starting January po mag-sisimula po tayong mag aral sa Arellano University School of Law upang mas lumawak pa ang ating kaalaman sa batas,” Mocha wrote in the caption of photos with Arellano University officials.

It was just several days ago when Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez said Uson would be part of the senatorial slate of the ruling party, the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Laban (PDP-Laban), for the 2019 elections. Mocha denied this, at first, saying she is not interested in politics. Furthermore, she said she had  no plans to run for public office much less a senatorial position.

But the Presidential Communications assistant secretary later said she would consider running if President Rodrigo Duterte would ask her to do so.

Well, it looks like Duterte has already told her to run.

On the question of her qualifications, or lack thereof, the president said it should be the people who should decide.

Mocha Uson also found an ally in Senator Manny Pacquaio who defended her by saying that being sincere is the most important qualification.

“I cannot judge. Hindi ako puwedeng manghusga ng isang tao. Matalino naman ‘yan. May pinag-aralan iyong tao, huwag natin siyang i-judge at gusto niyang magserbiyso sa bayan,” said Pacquiao.

“Sa tingin ko, kung buong puso, taos-puso mag-serbiyso eh. Makakatulong namin. Importante kasi totoo, hindi iyong plastic,” he added.
