Philippines to Host Mr. World 2018 Male Beauty Pageant This September in Manila

It will be raining men from all over the world this September when the Philippines (Manila) hosts Mr. World 2018. The official announcement was made by Julia Morely, Miss World Organization chief executive on Sunday.

“I am delighted to announce that Mr. World 2018 will be held in beautiful ‘PHILIPPINES’!” said Julia Morley. ‘The Mr. World Final – Sunday 16 September 2018.”

Full details about the pageant, including the venue and the number of contestants arriving in Manila for the pageant, are not yet available. According to Morley, a press conference will be held on May 1 to make these announcements.

The current Mr. World 2016 is Rohit Khandelwal of India who was crowned on July 19, 2016 in England. He is the first Asian to win the title.

Unlike Miss World which is held annually, Mr. World is a biennial pageant.

Founded in 1996, the Mr. World pageant “is a 2-3 week competition designed to test the candidates in a variety of ways through a series of challenge events, interviews and a final stage show.”
