Royal wedding watchers were hoping for a grand wedding for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in London, probably at Westminster Abbey, where Prince William and Kate Middleton tied the knot. Or probably at St. Paul’s Cathedral where Prince Charles and Princess Diana wed. Instead, a smaller venue has been chosen as announced by Kensington Palace on Tuesday morning.

While smaller in size, St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle is also grand in its own right. Built in the 14th century, the gothic chapel sits in the Lower ward of the Queen’s favorite residence outside of Buckingham Palace.

Kensington Palace also announced that the queen and the royal family will attend the wedding, and the royal family will pay for it.
