Wil Dasovich Wins Vlogger of the Year Award from Shorty Awards 2018

Proud girlfriend Alodia Gosiengfiao announced on social media that Wil Dasovich is the Vlogger of the Year of the 10th Shorty Awards. It is a great achievement for Wil who, last year, opened his heart and soul for us by vlogging his battle with colon cancer.

“Congratulations to @wil_dasovich for winning Vlogger of the Year at the @shortyawards!!😭 So proud of you!!🙊💕 Thank you so much to everyone for the support! 😭 #shortyawards #newyork #sneakersislife,” wrote Alodia is the caption of a photo showing Wil accepting his award in New York.

In his words, Wil Dasovich described the Shorty Awards as the ‘Oscars of social media’.

Wil started vlogging more than two years ago, documenting his travels in the Philippines and other Asian countries, and injecting his own brand of humor (or sometimes lack thereof) in his videos. But it was in the Philippines where he really made a name for himself.

A Filipino-American, Wil joined Pinoy Big Brother thus introducing him to the masses and expanding his fan base. And he didn’t disappoint. Since leaving PBB, he has entertained us even more with his vlogs, and also made us cry.

It was thru his YouTube videos that we found out about his cancer diagnosis. It was also thru his vlogging where we followed the ups and downs of his treatment and recovery. And just because of this, Wil Dasovich truly deserves to be named Vlogger of the Year!
