2 OFWs Killed, 3 Others Injured in Car Collision Accident in Saudi Arabia

A simple trip to the grocery store proved to be fateful for a group of overseas Filipino workers (OFW) in Jizan, Saudi Arabia on Thursday, June 14. Their vehicle was hit by a van resulting to the death of two of the Filipinos. Three others were injured.

The names of the Pinoy casualties have not been released but Consul General Edgar Badajos of the Philippine Consulate sa Jeddah has confirmed the incident, according to GMA’s Balitanghali. Their families in the Philippines have also been informed.

The injured Filipinos, who sustained broken limbs, are now recovering in hospital. 

Badajos added that the consulate is assisting the OFWs seek justice against the driver of the van, reportedly a Saudi national. An investigation is underway.
