And the winner is…. ‘Sunday Beauty Queen’  is this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival Best Picture. ‘Sunday Beauty Queen’, a documentary about domestic helpers in Hong Kong who participate in beauty contests during day off ever Sunday, thus the title, was considered an underdog at the MMFF 2016.

The win will, hopefully, boost the box office appeal of ‘Sunday beauty Queen’, which was rumored to be among the films to be pulled out by theaters for its low ticket sales.
