4.4 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Davao 2 Days After Indonesia Tremor

Davao has been struck by an earthquake. At 4:15 PM Sunday, the earthquake struck Baganga, Davao Oriental, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

The moderate tremor came two days after a powerful earthquake rocked the island of Java in Indonesia. It caused some damage in several areas and, according to news reports, at least two died.

On the contrary, the Davao earthquake caused no damage to property, according to Phivolcs, but aftershocks are expected.

The tectonic quake was traced to a depth of 22 kilometers and was felt at Intensity I in Bislig City.
