‘Bagyong Henry’ Update: Tropical Depression #HenryPH Makes Landfall in Cagayan

A new low pressure area (LPA) has formed east of the Philippines which may intensify into a cyclone. The LPA may become ‘Bagyong Henry’, of #HenryPH, the second cyclone for the month of July. (scroll down for the latest update on #HenryPH)

PAGASA is monitoring the potential storm. However, this early, it is hard to tell if it will intensify into a cyclone.

UPDATE July 17: Expect more monsoon rains over Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro Provinces, Palawan and Western Visayas as Tropical Depression #HenryPH continues to traverse northern Philippines.

On Monday night, Bagyong Henry made landfall in Camiguin Island, Cagayan province. Batanes, northern portion of Cagayan including Babuyan Group of Islands, northern portion of Apayao and northern portion of Ilocos Norte are still under SIGNAL #1.

The latest weather bulletin on Bagyong Henry says the cyclone was 60 km Southeast of Calayan, Cagayan at 10:00 PM of July 16. #HenryPH was moving west at 25 kph.

The tropical depression was packing winds of 60 kph near its center and gusts of up to 75 kph.
