Scenic Burnham Park was not spared by Typhoon Ompong’s wrath. The Burnham Park lake is gone, and replaced by brown, muddy water. In fact, much of the park, not only the lake, was covered by muddy water.

#OmpongPH dumped record rains in Baguio City. In fact, on Saturday along, more than a month’s rain fell on the Philippines’ summer capital causing landslides and flooding, yes even in Burnham Park.

According to Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan, 760mm of rain fell last Saturday, September 15. That was more than the rainfall for the whole month of August 2018, supposedly the rainiest month in the country.
