Bad Christmas Gift: Gasoline, Diesel Price Increase Expected Tuesday, Dec. 19

Bad news for motorists. A week before Christmas, fuel prices  will increase. This according to the Department of Energy (DOE) which predicts a new round of price increases for gasoline and diesel effective Tuesday, December 19.

According to the DOE, the previous week’s international oil trading prices dictate the following week’s prices in the Philippines. And last week, prices of fuel went up in the international market.

Thus, based on its analysis, the prices of gasoline and diesel, as well as kerosene, will go up as follows:

Gasoline – P0.30 per liter
Diesel – P0.50 per liter
Kerosene – P0.45 per liter

Said prices will not be final yet. Official announcements for the Tuesday price adjustments are made every Monday.
