Fr. Mark Ventura Killed Because of Alleged Illicit Affair, ‘Love Triangle’?

Murdered Cagayan priest may have been killed because of a love triangle. Fr. Mark Ventura allegedly had illicit affairs with several women. This according to a matrix President Rodrigo Duterte has which he referred to during a speech in Cebu on Sunday.

According to the matrix, Fr. Mark Ventura possibly had affairs with eight women. Four of these women are wives of a vice mayor, policeman, soldier and businessman. According to Duterte, this may be the reason why the priest was killed.

“Nganong ‘di ka man mamatay. May asawa bise mayor, may asawa pulis, may asawang sundalo, may asawa dakong negosyante. Eh ‘di patay ka gyud,” Duterte  told residents of Tabongon, Cebu during the town’s fiesta celebration.

Police have released the cartographic images of the two suspects – the gunman and the motorcycle driver. The reward money has also been raised to P300,000. Aside from the P200,000 put up by Ventura’s family, the PNP said it is adding P100,000.
