The suspect has been positively identified by an altar boy, said PNP chief Oscar Albayalde. But, in keeping with a recent policy change, Milan will not be presented to the media.

Albayadle added that the suspect was arrested at around 6:30 PM of Thursday in Barangay Malapit. No further details have been provided at this time.

Fr. Richmond Nilo was shot dead as he celebrated mass last Sunday ina chapel in Barangay Mayamot in Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija. Two gunmen fired from outside through the chapel’s window near the altar. Fr. Richmond died on the spot.

CCTV videos retrieved by the PNP from nearby barangays show two men on a motorcycle plus a dark vehicle tailed the priest from village to village until he reached the chapel. The vehicle left soon after.

But another video showed the two gunmen met with the vehicle after the shooting. This shows that the killing was well-planned and there are more than two persons involved in the priest’s murder.

The arrest comes a day before the funeral of Fr. Richmond Nilo
