41st GAWAD URIAN Winners (2018): ABRA Wins Best Actor for ‘Respeto’!

And the winners are… The 41st Gawad Urian winners were announced tonight at Vertis North. Recognized as the most prestigious of all the film awards in the country, the Gawad Urian winners’ announcement was highly anticipated.

Rapper Abra, Raymond Abracosa in real life, is the Urian best actor for 2018! Abra won his first Urian award for the film ‘Respeto’. The best actress, on the other hand, is Joanna Ampil for ‘Ang Larawan’.

Meanwhile, hailed as the best picture for 2018 is Balangiga: Howling Wilderness while the best director award went to Arnel Barbarona for ‘Tu Pug Imatuy’.

It was another winning night for veteran actress Odette Khan. Just days after winning a FAMAS for her role in ‘Bar Boys’, Odette won her first Urian as best supporting actress for the same role.
