Golden Globe Awards 2017: Complete List of Nominations Revealed

Here it is. The full list of 2017 Golden Globe nominations announced earlier Monday. And, as expected, ‘La La Land’ received the most nominations.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association revealed the full list of Golden Globe Awards 2017 nominations Monday in Los Angeles, the first of the ‘big three’ most awaited awards of the season. Leading the list in the film categories is ‘La La Land’ with seven nominations, followed closely by ‘Moonlight’ with six and ‘Manchester By The Sea’ with five.

In the acting categories, drama, ‘front runner’ Natalie Portman leads the list for her performance in ‘Jackie’ while Casey Affleck scored as expected with his performance in ‘Manchester by the Sea’. Both actors won in their respective categories Sunday in the 2016 Critics Choice Awards.

In comedy, it is ‘La La Land’ lead actors Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling receiving nominations along with such notable names as Meryl Streep (Florence Foster Jenkins), Annette Bening (20th Century Women) and Hugh Grant (Florence Foster Jenkins), among others.

Viola Davis and Mahershala Ali, winners of Critics Choice Awards for their supporting performances in ‘Fences’ and “Moonlight’, respectively, also scored Golden Globe nominations.

Meanwhile, the the televisions categories, the Golden Globe Awards 2017 nominations were more evenly distributed. But it was ‘The People v. O.J. Simpson’ leading the way with 5 nominations closely followed by ‘The Night Manager’ with four nods.

The Golden Globe Awards 2017 will be held on January 8.
