‘Huli Na, Tumatanggi Pa!’ Lanie Mercado Denies Bong had a Cellphone!

These politicians think all Filipinos are stupid enough to believe everything they’re saying. Take Lanie Mercado, for instance, the wife of jailed former senator Bong Revilla. After police confiscated his cellphone in jail, Lanie is now denying that her husband had one!

“I don’t think he has a cellphone, why? Kasi bawal po doon,” Lanie Mercado told TV Patrol.

Then what did the police confiscate in his jail cell during a surprise inspection? And what did Bong Revilla use to take a selfie to post on his Facebook page along with his sentiments on the 4th anniversary of his surrender and detention for plunder?

On Tuesday, June 20, Revilla wrote:  “Today is exactly my 4th year in prison. This is 4 years away from my family; missing out on the milestones of my children’s lives; 4 long years that I can no longer get back.”

“May mga panahon na dumating sa akin na talagang gusto ko na sumuko. Pagod na rin po ako. Pagod na pagod na… ” the former senator continued. (Read his full post here)

About the Facebook post, Lanie said: “Ang alam ko po doon, may admin po siya ng Facebook account. ‘Yon po ang alam ko, somebody takes care of his Facebook account.”

She also said Bong selfie  is an old picture, “I think the picture is an old picture.”

Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police (PNP) an investigation is ongoing and they would sanction any police officer who may have allowed Revilla to have a mobile phone while in detention.
