Was it improper fro Marc Pingris to take a selfie after the incident? Was it even worse to post it online? People are divided in their opinions though the ones against it have posted strong words against what Pingris did.

Australian NBA player Andrew Bogut sarcastically called it ‘class’, while Filipino netizens said it was embarrassing and disrespectful.

Marc Pingris has since deleted his post and apologized.

“Kung mali ako sorry sa lahat ng nagalit, pero sa tingin ko walang masama sa ginawa ko,” Marc Pingris said when interviewed by Spin.ph. “Actually pauwi na ako and gusto ko lang may picture ako sa kanila.”

But was there really anything to apologize for? Marc Pingris was not a member of the team. he was a spectator who took a selfie with Gilas. He was not involved in the brawl. So what’s wrong with posting a selfie?

Some netizens agree.
