MAYNILAD No Water Supply Sept. 16 to 18 in Parts of Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite

Maynilad water interruption after #OmpongPH!

Here we go again! MAYNILAD has announced another water service interruption because of #OmpongPH. Due to increased turbidity at Ipo Dam, there will be no water in parts of Valenzuela, Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Quezon City, Manila, Makati, Pasay, Parañaque and Las Piñas; also in Meycauayan and Obando, Bulacan; and in Imus and Bacoor, Cavite.

In advisories posted on its social media pages, MAYNILAD said “increased turbidity in the raw water” has once again forced it to implement a water service interruption. This is the same thing that happened last month after days of monsoon rains. And, in fairness to Maynilad, they already warned consumers about this last week as #OmpongPH was approaching.

“Heavy rainfall over the Ipo watershed brought on by Typhoon Ompong has increased turbidity in the raw water of Ipo Dam. This has constrained us to reduce water production in our treatment plants,” said Maynilad.
