Veruska Ljubisavljevic, Miss Venezuela World 2017, has been disqualified. Veruska will be over the age limit for Miss World 2018 when the pageant is held later this year and, thus, she can no longer compete.

The disqualification of Miss Venezuela World 2017 adds another layer of drama to the Miss Venezuela pageant, which was been rocked by a ‘prostitution scandal’ a couple of months ago.

According to reports, Miss World Organization (MWO) has informed the Miss Venezuela pageant of Veruska’s disqualification last week. The age limit for Miss World is 26 but Veruska, whose birthday falls on January 2, 1991, is already 27 years old.

Although a successor will take her place, MWO has reportedly demanded that Miss Venezuela create a separate pageant for its representative starting this year.

Like other national pageants, Miss Venezuela names three winners each year that it sends to Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss International. But MWO would have none of that anymore. It wants an exclusive pageant for Miss World Venezuela!
