MMFF 2018 First 4 Official Entries Revealed: Vice Ganda, Vic & Coco, Anne, Kim

The 2018 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Selection committee has announced the first four official entries for this year’s festival – movies by Vice Ganda, Vic Sotto and Coco Martin, Anne Curtis, and Kim Chiu.

The first 4 MMFF official entries were selected based on their submitted scripts. The next four MMFF 2018 official entries will be selected based on the finished film, the deadline of which is on September 21.

Entries for short films will only be accepted until August 31.

First 4 Official Entries MMFF 2018:

  • AURORA (Viva Films) – starring Anne Curtis; directed by Yam Laranas
  • FANTASTICA: THE PRINCESS, THE PRINCE, AND THE PERYA (Viva Films and Star Cinema) starring Vice Ganda, Maris Racal, Loisa Anadalio and Maymay Entrata; directed by Barry Gonzalez
  • GIRL IN THE ORANGE DRESS (Quantum and MJM Film) starring Kim Chiu, Jessy Mendiola, Jericho Rosales, Sam Milby, Tom Rodriguez, Kit Thompson; directed ng Dan Villegas
  • POPO EN JACK, THE PULISCREDIBLES (MZet, APT and CCM Productions) starring Vic Sotto and Coco Martin; directed by Rodel Nacianceno

According to Noel Ferrer, a total of 24 scripts were submitted. From this lot, the selection committee, headed by National Artist Bievenido Lumbera, chose only the above-mentioned four.
