Oil Price Hike: Diesel, Gasoline Prices Increase Tuesday but Not Yet Due to TRAIN

More fuel price increases have been announced by Philippine retailers. Gasoline and diesel prices are going up Tuesday, January 30, but not yet due to the excise tax, or TRAIN. It’s the fifth consecutive week of increases!

In separate but similar announcements making it look like a ‘cartel’ increase, Philippine fuel retailers announced the following price adjustments: gasoline prices going up by P0.45 per liter, diesel to increase by P0.50 per liter, and kerosene prices to be hiked by P0.50 per liter.

Flying V, Petron, Pilipinas Shell, SEAOIL, Eastern Petroleum, Phoenix Petroleum, PTT Philippines., TOTAL Philippines, and Unioil Petroleum Philippines made the announcements Monday. Other oil companies are expected to follow.
