RIP Neal Boyd: America’s Got Talent Winner Dead After Heart Failure & Kidney Problem

The winner of America’s Got Talent in 2008 is dead. Neal Boyd, who won America’s Got Talent with his beautiful operatic voice, died on Sunday in Sikeston, Missouri. He was just 42 years old.

According to TMZ, Neal Boyd died at his mother’s home at around 6:00 PM. The local coroner said no autopsy was performed. Boyd was suspected to have died of from heart failure and kidney complications. The AGT winner had a history of health problems due to his weight, the coroner said.

According to E! News, Neal Boyd’s body was cremated immediately.

Boyd easily became the favorite in America’s Got talent in 2008 because of his beautiful voice. And, true enough, viewers picked him as the season’s winner, taking home $1 million as his prize.

After winning AGT, Boyd recorded an album, ‘My American Dream’.
