Starlet Krista Miller Acquitted of Drug Charges, Netizens Ask ‘Magkano?’

Krista Miller is now free after being released from jail last May 25. This after the Valenzuela City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 28 acquitted Krista of drug charges. Some netizens, however, smell something fishy with her acquittal.

‘Magkano?’ some netizens asked on social media, implying that money may have changed hands in Krista Miller’s acquittal. Indeed, it is hard to believe that someone who was arrested in a buy-bust operation is now free!

Krista Miller was arrested in September 2016 following a tip-off. Two part-time models, along with their male companions, were nabbed in an anti-drug operation in Quezon City. Drugs (shabu) were found in their possession. During the investigation, the models pointed to Krista Miller as their ‘supplier’.

An operation was then hatched to catch Miller who was reportedly operating in Valenzuela City. In a buy-bust operation, she and a companion were arrested in a buy-bust operation. Krista had been in jail since then.

“The accused is released from confinement after having been acquitted for the crime charged against her for Violation of Section 5, in relation to Section 26, Article II, R.A. 9165 in criminal case 1869-V-16 as per order of released issued and signed in by the HON. SNOOKY MARIA ANA C. BARCENO-SAGAYO, Presiding Judge Regional Trial Court Branch 283, Valenzuela City, dated May 25, 2018,” reads the RTC decision on her case, though it does not specify why.
