Just before the MMFF 2016 opened, Super Parental Guardians box office earnings has reached P500 million. This was revealed by Star Cinema in a social media entry announcing the film’s phenomenal success. That’s P500 million in less than 4 weeks!

It will be recalled that ‘The Super Parental Guardians’ opened on November 30 after failing to qualify for the 2016 MMFF. Since then, the film has been breaking and setting local box office records.

The Vice Ganda & Coco Martin Christmas offering was en route to break the previous all-time box office record for a local film if not for the opening of the MMFF 2016 on December 25.

The current record stands at P520 million set by last year’s Vice-Coco movie, ‘The Beauty & The Bestie’. We are sure this will be broken by ‘The Super Parental Guardians’ after it is re-released in January after the end of MMFF 2016.
