Two OFWs Dead After Fire Engulfs Their Living Quarters in Saudi Arabia

A fire killed two overseas Filipino workers in Saudi Arabia. The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah confirmed the Pinoys’ deaths but declined to reveal their identities until their families have been notified.

According to GMA News, the two OFWs died after a fire engulfed their living quarters in Najran province in the western region of Saudi Arabia. Philippine Consul General Edgar Badajos confirmed the deaths of the Filipino workers and told GMA News that a team had already been dispatched to get more details of the incident and provide assistance in any way they can.

Initial reports from the company of the killed OFWs said faulty electrical connected may have been the cause of the blaze. No reports if any other Pinoy workers were injured in the incident.

The fire occurred at 10:00 PM according to GMA News but the date was not specified.
