“I’m happy and blessed to be able to get back this conference. I’m just happy to be able to play again,” Jeron Teng told ESPN 5, looking as if he didn’t come from a serious injury after playing 18 minutes and contributing 7 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists to Alaska’s victory.

He may have fully recovered but Teng said his game is quite rusty at this point. He hopes to be back to his old form in no time.”I’ve been out for a month.

“My timing is off but I’m working on it,” the former King Archer said. “I’m lucky I was still able to play before the playoffs.”

Teng was stabbed several times in the back after a brawl in Bonifacio Global City. His two companions, fellow former La Salle players Thomas Torres and Norbert Torres, sustained injuries in their arms.

Charges of frustrated homicide were filed against suspects Edmar Manalo and Willard Basili.
