Video of Cebu Pacific Passenger Fainting, Stuck Inside ‘Hot’ Plane Go Viral

Cebu Pacific is under investigation after a video of passengers in panic and passing out inside a hot plane has gone viral. The Friday afternoon Cebu Pacific flight at NAIA remained on the tarmac for more than an hour due to a delay. There were reports that the air conditioning malfunctioned thus causing extreme discomfort to many passengers.

The videos posted by Gin Durano on Facebook shows some passengers of Cebu Pacific flight 5J 575 fanning themselves due to the heat.

“Babies are crying, old people are complaining and there’s a woman got suffocated and now she has oxygen on because she can’t breathe. We’ve been here for more than an hour inside the plane. Freaking damn hot! They didn’t even do anything until the woman pass out. I Super Love You Cebu Pacific!” wrote Durano.

In reply to one of the comments on her video, Durano said the air-conditioning of the plane malfunctioned and it very hot inside the plane, where they were stuck for almost two hours.

The Department of Transportation has already ordered an investigation on the incident.

“Please be informed that the DOTr, through its Undersecretary for Aviation Capt. Manuel Antonio Tamayo, has already instructed the Civil Aeronautics Board to look into this and act accordingly,” the DOTr said in a statement.

Meanwhile, in a statement from Cebu Pacific posted on its Facebook page, the airline explained why the plane was stuck on the tarmac. It also said the passengers needing medical attention were attended to immediately. And, following the request of the pilot for another airplane, it was arranged so passengers can leave for Cebu at the soonest possible time.
