#WalangPasok August 13, Monday: No Classes in Areas Due to Flooding, Habagat Rains

Walangpasok August 13

Still no classes in some areas due to flooding.

Class Cancellations for Monday August 13 – PAGASA has lifted all rainfall warnings on Sunday morning but some areas remain flooded. Due to this, #walangpasok will still be in effect in affected areas.

PAGASA forecasts only light to moderate rain in areas previously affected by heavy rainfall due to habagat. According to the weather bureau, Metro Manila, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, Bataan, Zambales, Pampanga, and Bulacan, as well as northern Luzon, will experience improved weather.

But, as of Sunday, many areas in Marikina, the province of Rizal, as well as some in other parts of Luzon remain flooded.

The heavy rainfall in Luzon over the weekend was due to the southwest monsoon, or habagat, which was enhanced by Tropical Storm #KardingPH (now Tropical Storm Yagi). The storm exited PAR on Saturday morning and is now in the East China Sea.
