#WalangPasok June 11: Class Suspension Announcements Due to #Habagat, Flooding

Will classes be suspended on Monday, June 11? Typhoon #DomengPH is already out of the country but its effects remain, prompting students to wish for another #WalangPasok day. And with Monday sandwiched by the Independence Day holiday, a #WalangPasok announcement would be most welcome.

Oops, Quezon City has jumped the gun! There will be #WalangPasok in all levels in Quezon City on Monday. Mayor Herbert Bautista made the class suspension announcement Sunday afternoon.

Will other Metro Manila city mayors follow Herbert’s announcement?

#WalangPasok: Typhoon #DomengPH / Habagat Update

According to PAGASA, Domeng exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 9:30 AM on Sunday. However, it will still enhance the southwest monsoon and thus bring heavy rainfall in parts of Luzon, especially the western region.

Heavy rains with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are expected over Zambales,Tarlac and NuevaEcija on Sunday night. Monsoon rains which may cause possible flooding or landslides will be experienced over Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

Yellow Warning Level in CaviteBataanBatangas, and Laguna with the possibility of flooding in low-lying areas.  Meanwhile, light to moderate rains affecting MetroManilaRizal, and Quezon which may persist Sunday night.
