Classes will still be suspended on Monday, September 17, in many areas. Typhoon Ompong has already left the Philippines but the rain, flooding and landslides that it left behind have prompted LGUs and schools to declare #walangpasok.

Ompong left a trail of destruction across northern Philippines after battering it for two days. Dozens are dead (death toll at 59) and thousands of lives have been affected by the biggest storm in the world this year. Because of this, classes are suspended in many areas.
